Tom is licensed to practice medicine and surgery in the State of Connecticut. During his journey through medical school and residency, Tom focused on both conventional and holistic healing modalities. His fellowship in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine afforded him the opportunity to study with many nationally and internationally acclaimed Osteopathic physicians. During this time, he gained proficiency in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, specifically focusing on Cranial Osteopathy. Tom has several as a teaching assistant at numerous international courses and conferences. He is currently a teacher in training with The Cranial Academy. Since beginning medical school, Tom has been active as a leader in local, regional and national Osteopathic organizations. Currently, he serves as a committee chair for The Cranial Academy and a committee member for the American Academy of Osteopathy. Both committeesʼ objectives focus on improving student and resident training, specifically in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. Tom's medical philosophy is deeply influenced by his personal health practices, especially his practice of present moment awareness. He enjoys practicing Gracei Jiu-Jitsu, Ashtanga yoga, cooking and spending time with his wife, Jill and their myriad of animal companions. Tom volunteers as a Canine Search Specialist for Connecticut Task Force 1, CT's Urban Search and Rescue Team . Tom & Jill are volunteers for Australian Shepherd & Belgian Malinois rescue and often are foster parents for dogs without homes. Tom has experienced deep personal healing through focusing on the body-mind-spirit connection and learning to experience the flow of Life in this moment. In practice, Tom shares his extensive knowledge and training in conventional and holistic systems of medicine as well as his personal philosophy. Through his years of hands-on clinical experience, Tom has realized that the key to optimum health lies within. He works with each patient to discover the key to their radiant health. Dr. Tom Moorcroft, DO is an Osteopathic physician who completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Vermont before attending medical school at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNECOM) in Biddeford, ME. While at UNECOM, Tom completed a one year fellowship in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and Medical Gross Anatomy. During medical school, he also completed a medical neuroanatomy teaching fellowship. Tom did his residency training in Family Medicine at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, CT where he is on the medical staff as a Hospitalist.
